水手的职责
水手应该:
1.在值班驾驶员、水手长的领导下,履行SMS文件规定的安全管理职责.担任操舵、值班、维修保养、装卸货等工作.对值班驾驶员、水手长负责.
2.熟悉船舶各种应变信号,正确使用各种救生、消防、溢油、堵漏等设备.
3.值舷梯班时,佩带证章,做好来客登记,巡视全船,给有关船、驳船系解缆.负责看管舷梯、桥板、锚、系缆、应急防火缆、防鼠板、靠把、落水孔、安全网等,确保船舶安全.
4.按值班驾驶员的指示正确显示各种信号旗、号型和号灯;按时升降国旗,开关甲板灯,经常检查甲板照明,确保处于正常状态.
5.负责驾驶台,海图室内外的清洁保养工作.
6.做好校舵、检查航行灯等开航准备工作.
7.引航员上下船时,负责收放引水员梯子、绳索.靠离泊时,安放或收进舷梯和绳子,卸装跳板、安全网、电话线等.查看前后吃水,报告值班驾驶员.
8.参加装卸货工作,协助接拆软管、接地线和清洗货油舱等工作.
9.参加航行操舵值班,协助值班驾驶员了望,完成值班驾驶员布置的其他工作:在狭水道或进出港航行时负责监舵.
10.参加锚泊值班,显示锚泊信号,检查锚链情况,注意周围船舶动态,发现走锚或可疑情况,立即报告值班驾驶员.
11.正确操纵绞缆机、锚机、吊杆,参加系解缆及各项维修保养工作.
12.积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

Sailor's Responsibility
A sailor shall:
1. Under the leadership of the duty officer and bosun, perform the safety management duties stipulated in the SMS. Hold the post of steering, watch-keeping, repair and maintenance, cargo loading and discharging. Be responsible to the duty officer and bosun.
2. Be familiar with all kinds of emergency signals; correctly use various life-saving, fire-fighting, oil spilling and flood protection equipment.
3. While keeping gangway watch, wear the badge, keep record of the visitors, patrol the vessel, moor and unmoor calling ships or lighters; be responsible for taking care of the gangway, bridge board, anchors, mooring lines, fire protection hawser, rat-guards, fender, port holes, safety net and so on to ensure safety of the ship.
4. Display the signal flags, day shape and navigation lights correctly according to the instructions of the duty officer; hoist and lower the national flag in time; turn on and off the lights on deck, make regular inspection of the illumination on deck and keep them under normal condition.
5. Be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the bridge and chartroom, both inside and outside.
6. Make preparations for departure, such as adjusting the rudder, examining the navigation lights etc.
7. Whenever the pilot is embarking/disembarking, launch/draw the pilot's ladder and rope. When berthing/unberthing, rig and unrig the gangway or ropes, set and take in the gangway planks, safety net, telephone line and so on. Inform the state of draft fore and aft to the duty officer.
8. Take part in cargo loading and unloading; assist joining and disjoining the hose and ground connection; clean cargo oil tanks and so on.
9. Attend to navigation steering watch, assist the duty officer for lookout as well as accomplish other tasks arranged by the duty officer; be responsible for monitoring the rudder while the ship is proceeding in narrow channel or sailing inward or outward.
10. Attend to anchoring watch; display anchoring signals, check the anchor chain and pay attention to the nearby vessels. If you found the anchor is dragging or anything suspicious happens, inform the duty officer immediately.
11. Properly operate the mooring winch, windlass, derricks, take part in mooring, unmooring and maintenances of all kinds.
12. Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.
