Nineteen Duty of the Crew

水手的职责

    水手应该:

1.在值班驾驶员、水手长的领导下,履行SMS文件规定的安全管理职责.担任操舵、值班、维修保养、装卸货等工作.对值班驾驶员、水手长负责.

2.熟悉船舶各种应变信号,正确使用各种救生、消防、溢油、堵漏等设备.

3.值舷梯班时,佩带证章,做好来客登记,巡视全船,给有关船、驳船系解缆.负责看管舷梯、桥板、锚、系缆、应急防火缆、防鼠板、靠把、落水孔、安全网等,确保船舶安全.

4.按值班驾驶员的指示正确显示各种信号旗、号型和号灯;按时升降国旗,开关甲板灯,经常检查甲板照明,确保处于正常状态.

5.负责驾驶台,海图室内外的清洁保养工作.

6.做好校舵、检查航行灯等开航准备工作.

7.引航员上下船时,负责收放引水员梯子、绳索.靠离泊时,安放或收进舷梯和绳子,卸装跳板、安全网、电话线等.查看前后吃水,报告值班驾驶员.

8.参加装卸货工作,协助接拆软管、接地线和清洗货油舱等工作.

9.参加航行操舵值班,协助值班驾驶员了望,完成值班驾驶员布置的其他工作:在狭水道或进出港航行时负责监舵.

10.参加锚泊值班,显示锚泊信号,检查锚链情况,注意周围船舶动态,发现走锚或可疑情况,立即报告值班驾驶员.

11.正确操纵绞缆机、锚机、吊杆,参加系解缆及各项维修保养工作.

12.积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

Sailor's Responsibility

    A sailor shall:

    1. Under the leadership of the duty officer and bosun, perform the safety management duties stipulated in the SMS. Hold the post of steering, watch-keeping, repair and maintenance, cargo loading and discharging. Be responsible to the duty officer and bosun.

    2. Be familiar with all kinds of emergency signals; correctly use various life-saving, fire-fighting, oil spilling and flood protection equipment.

    3. While keeping gangway watch, wear the badge, keep record of the visitors, patrol the vessel, moor and unmoor calling ships or lighters; be responsible for taking care of the gangway, bridge board, anchors, mooring lines, fire protection hawser, rat-guards, fender, port holes, safety net and so on to ensure safety of the ship.

    4. Display the signal flags, day shape and navigation lights correctly according to the instructions of the duty officer; hoist and lower the national flag in time; turn on and off the lights on deck, make regular inspection of the illumination on deck and keep them under normal condition.

    5. Be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the bridge and chartroom, both inside and outside.

    6. Make preparations for departure, such as adjusting the rudder, examining the navigation lights etc.

    7. Whenever the pilot is embarking/disembarking, launch/draw the pilot's ladder and rope. When berthing/unberthing, rig and unrig the gangway or ropesset and take in the gangway planks, safety net, telephone line and so on. Inform the state of draft fore and aft to the duty officer.

    8. Take part in cargo loading and unloading; assist joining and disjoining the hose and ground connection; clean cargo oil tanks and so on.

    9. Attend to navigation steering watch, assist the duty officer for lookout as well as accomplish other tasks arranged by the duty officer; be responsible for monitoring the rudder while the ship is proceeding in narrow channel or sailing inward or outward.

    10. Attend to anchoring watch; display anchoring signals, check the anchor chain and pay attention to the nearby vessels. If you found the anchor is dragging or anything suspicious happens, inform the duty officer immediately.

    11. Properly operate the mooring winch, windlass, derricks, take part in mooring, unmooring and maintenances of all kinds.

    12. Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.

木匠的职责

     木匠应该:

1.在大副、水手长领导下,履行SMS文件规定的安全管理职责.负责木工工作,参加维修保养、系泊、装卸等工作.对大副、水手长负责.

2.管理、保养锚设备、水密设备、淡水舱、艏泵舱、货油加温管系、货舱空气管呼吸阀、堵漏器材等.

3.航行中,每天测量压载水舱、淡水舱水位两次,停泊时测量一次,做好记录,发现异常立即报告大副或值班驾驶员并查明原因.

4.按照船长、大副的指示,正确注入、打出、驳移压舱水和添加淡水.

5.检查、养护和操纵起锚机,保持锚链标志清楚,按大副指令做好备锚、抛锚、起锚、绞缆以及出港后锚的系固工作.发现锚机、锚、锚链有问题,及时报告大副.参加航行船艏了望.

6.负责全船水密门、窗、舱盖的加油活络,橡皮更换,修配玻璃等保养工作,保持水密状态及设备良好.

7.按水手长指示,每天准备好甲板部人员开工使用的工具、油漆、物料.收工后,收妥保管.

8.停港期间,与水手长对班轮值.参加装卸货作业并任工头(国内港口).

9.装卸前备妥量油工具以及接管扳手、螺丝、垫圈等工具.

10.根椐大副布置,检查油舱,测量油位、油温,启闭呼吸阀,做好货油加温、降温等工作.

11.修船前,向大副提出分管设备修理项目.修船时,验收锚设备、水密设备、淡水舱、压载水舱及其他分管设备的修理质量.按计划做好自修工作.

12.积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

Carpenter's Responsibility

    A carpenter shall:

    1. Under the leadership of the first officer and the bosun, perform the safety management duties stipulated in SMS. Be in charge of the carpentry work; take part in the maintenance, berthing, loading, unloading and so on. Be responsible to the first officer and the bosun.

    2. Be in charge of the management and maintenance of the anchor gears, water-tight equipment, and fresh water tank (FWT), bow pump tank, cargo oil heating system, breathing valve of the air pipe in the cargo hold, flood protection materials and so on.

    3. Take sounding of the ballast water tanks (BWT) and fresh water tanks (FWT) twice a day while sailing, once a day while berthing and make records at the same time. If anything unusual happens, inform the first officer or the duty officer at once, then find out the cause.

4. In accordance with the instructions of the captain and/or the first officer, pump in/out or transfer the ballast water and replenish fresh water.

    5. Inspect, maintain and operate the windlass; ensure clear marking of the anchor chain. In accordance with the instructions of the chief officer, prepare, drop, heave up the anchor, haul the cable as well as secure the anchor after departure. If there is anything wrong with the windlass, anchor or anchor chain, inform the first officer immediately. Keep look-out at the bow while sailing.

    6. Be responsible for greasing of all the water-tight doors, windows and hatch covers on board, replacing of rubber seals and glasses, ensure their water-tightness and keep them under favorable condition.

    7. According to the bosun's requirements, prepare the tools, paints and other materials for deck hands everyday, and collect those tools and materials and store them properly after using.

    8. During staying in port, keep watch with the bosun alternatively. Take part in cargo loading and unloading, and act as the foreman (domestic port only)

    9. Prior to loading and unloading, prepare the sounding instruments, pipe spanners, screws, washers and so on.

    10. Following the arrangements of the first officer, inspect the oil tanks; take sounding of the oil level and measure the oil temperature; open and close the breathing valve, and properly handle the heating and cooling of the cargo oil.

    11. Prior to the ship repairing, work out the plan of repair items and report the plan to the first officer. In the process of ship repairing, check the quality of the repaired anchor gears, water-tight equipment, fresh water tanks (FWT) and ballast water tanks (BWT) and other equipment as well, conduct self-repair according to the plan.

    12. Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.

水手长的职责

    水手长应该:

1.在大副的领导下,履行SMS文件规定的安全管理职责.组织木匠、水手进行预防检查,保养维修,系泊、装卸等工作,对大副负责.

2.按CWBT及有关计划,保养船体、舱面建筑、系缆装置、装卸设备、IGS甲板设备、舷梯、生产用具、防污染器材、粪便柜等,使其处于良好状态.

3.保养、管理救生、消防、溢油、堵漏设备.发生事故、险情等紧急情况时,在大副的指挥下领导水手进行抢险等工作.

4.每天早饭前向大副请示工作,安排工作时要布置安全措施,并检查进度和质量,工作结束及时向大副汇报.编制水手了头及港内值班名单,督促认真执行,停港期间与木匠对班轮值.

5.开航及抵港前,领导水手整理船舶,绑扎甲板移动物件,起落吊杆,备妥防火、防污染器材,以及做好装卸准备工作.

6.进出港、系泊、抛锚作业前,担任船艏了望;靠离泊操作中,听从大副指挥,领导水手进行系泊作业,收放防鼠挡板,防火钢缆.

7.负责清洗货油舱,参加装卸货并任工头(国内港口).做好防火、防爆、防污染、防货损货差等工作.

8.带领水手进行救生、消防、溢油、堵漏、操艇练习.

9.按照大副或值班驾驶员要求,领导木匠、水手做好大风浪来临前的移动物件加固,水密门窗关闭等工作,冬季来临或驶进严寒海区前做好设备防冻、通道防滑等工作.

10.清洁整理物料间、储藏室;清点管理库存物料;木匠不在船时,履行木匠职责.

11.领导水手技术业务学习,安排水手实习生学习计划.指导现场工作,对高空、舷外危险作业亲自检查防护用具,布置安全措施.

12.修船时,制订出自修计划,领导水手进行自修工作,检查验收厂修有关工程.

13.积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

Bosun's Responsibility

    A bosun shall:

    1. Under the direction of the first officer, perform the safety management duties specified in the SMS, organize carpenters and sailors to practice the preventive checkup, maintenance, berthing, loading and unloading; be responsible to the first officer.

    2. According to the CWBT and related plans, be in charge of the management and maintenance of hull, attached buildings, mooring fittings, loading and unloading equipment, IGS deck equipment, gangway, produce devices, pollution prevention appliances and manure tank etc., keep the foregoing things in good condition.

    3. Be in charge of management and maintenance of the life-saving, fire-fighting, oil spilling, flood protection equipment. Under the direction of the first officer, be responsible for the organization of sailors against emergency or accident, if any.

    4. Ask the first officer for daily work instructions prior to breakfast, arrange task and safety measures, check the schedule process and quality, report to the first officer when the schedule is fulfilled; be responsible for arrangement and supervision of look-out and watch-keeping work of sailors; make turns with the carpenter on duty during staying in port.

    5. Prior to departure and arrival, arrange sailors to clean up the ship, secure movable parts on deck, operate derricks, prepare fire-fighting, pollution prevention equipment and get ready for loading and unloading.

    6. Keep look-out at the bow before entering and leaving port, berthing and anchoring operation; follow the first officer's instructions in the process of berthing and unearthing, and guide the sailors in berthing and unberthing operation; be responsible for placing and packing away the rat-guards and fire-proof cable.

    7.Be responsible for cleaning cargo oil tanks and holds; take part in cargo loading and discharging as the foreman(domestic port only);effect the work of fire-fighting, anti-explosion, pollution prevention and prevention of cargo loss and damage.

    8. Guide sailors to practice life-saving, fire-fighting, oil spilling, flood protection and boat operation drills.

    9. At the request of the first officer or duty officer, guide the carpenter and sailors to secure the moving objects and close the water-tight windows and doors prior to the storm; take anti-freezing and anti-slippery measures in winter, or prior to approaching the freezing zone.

    10. Cleaning the store-rooms and lockers; check the inventory stores and perform the carpenter's duties in his absence.

    11.Be responsible for sailor's business studies and arrange the study plan for sailor apprentices; direct the operation on the spot and inspect the safety equipment for dangerous work such as overhead or overboard operation and arrange safety measures.

    12. Work out the self-repairing plan upon ship repair; organize sailors to undertake self-repair projects as well as inspect and accept the repairing projects performed by shipyard.

    13. Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.

机匠的职责

机匠应该:

1.在大管轮、值班轮机员的领导下,参加设备的维修保养和机舱清洁工作,执行值班任务,完成领导布置的其他工作.

2.听从命令,服从安排,遵守劳动纪律,遵守规章制度,遵守操作规程,工作认真负责.

3.掌握各种应急设备的操作,熟悉各种应急预案.

4.航行值班和停泊值班时应做到:

4.1按规定时间提前进入机舱,按照巡回检查路线仔细检查,认真交接班.值班时坚守岗位,不擅离职守,禁止无关人员进入机舱.

4.2执行轮机长或值班轮机员的指令,做好主机暖缸、备车等航前准备和主机完车后的工作.

4.3在值班轮机员的指导下,每半小时按巡回路线巡查一次,操作有关设备,调整有关参数,保证水、电、气和蒸气的正常供应.正确记录各项参数,认真填写值班记录和工作日志.

4.4设有两台主机的船舶,遇特殊情况,在轮机长和值班轮机员的指导下可操纵另一台主机.

5.不设泵匠的船舶,根据大管轮的安排,参加装卸油和压排压舱水值班.值班期间,履行泵匠职务规则.

6.根据大管轮的安排,担任锅炉值班,值班时必须做到:

6.1按时按巡回路线巡查和交接班,坚守岗位,不擅离职守.

6.2执行二管轮指令,正确进行锅炉排污.

6.3积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

Motorman's Responsibility

    A motorman shall:

    1. Under the leadership of the second engineer and duty engineer, maintain the equipment, clean the engine room, keep watch and complete other tasks arranged by the engineers.

    2. Obey the orders, follow the arrangements, abide by discipline and relevant labor rules and regulations and comply with the operation procedures and be responsible for the jobs.

    3. Be familiar with operations of all kinds of emergency apparatus as well as various emergency plans.

    4. Perform the following duties during engine room watches and berthing watches.

    4.1 Enter the engine room in advance according to the timetable; careful inspections on the required routes; perform careful handover and takeover of the duty. Stick to the post while on watch; prevent irrelevant personnel from entering the engine room.

    4.2 Carry out the instruction of the chief engineer and duty engineer. Make preparations for warming up, standing by of the main engine before sailing, while do all the work concerned after finishing with the engine.

    4.3 Under the guide of the chief engineer and the duty engineer, make tour inspections once half an hour, operate the relevant equipment; adjust the relevant parameters to ensure the normal supply of power ,water and steam, and record various parameter and fill in the watch notes and working log seriously.

    4.4 As for the ship equipped with double engines, operate the other engine under the instructions of the chief engineer or duty engineer in case of special conditions.

    5. As for the ship without the post of pump man, in accordance with the arrangements of the second engineer, keep watch for charging and discharging of cargo oil and ballast water. While keeping such watch, perform the duty as a pump man.

    6. According to the arrangements of the second engineer, keep watch of the boiler and carry out the following duties:

    6.1 Make tour inspections and hand over/take over the duty on time; stick to the post.

    6.2 Carry out the instructions of the third engineer to drainage of the boiler water correctly.

    6.3Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.

厨服的职责

   厨服应该:

1.履行SMS文件规定的安全职责.负责管理餐厅、配膳间、会议室、吸烟室、客厅、公共厕所、生活区走廊等公共场所的清洁卫生和消灭虫、鼠害工作;负责厨房洗菜、做饭、开饭、餐具的清洗和消毒工作,保管好厨房用具,管理粮库.对大厨负责.

2.负责餐具、卧具、窗帘、椅套、台布、卫生用品和各种清洁洗涤剂的分发和收换洗涤,定期清点登记,根据需要提出报废、请领补充计划,所有物品应造册登记,列入移交.

3.在航行或进出港时,如船长和引航员应工作不能离开驾驶台用餐,应将饭菜送至驾驶台.

4.负责对货主、引航员、联检人员、港口船检、港监等工作人员、来访宾客的招待服务,负责客房清洁及消耗用品的配置、清理工作.

5.值班,供应夜餐.护船规定值护船班.

6.妥善处理生活垃圾,防止污染港区水域.

7.完成大厨分配的其他工作,大厨不在船时,承担大厨之责.

8.积极参加全船各类全员性的工作.

Steward's Responsibility

    A steward shall:

    1. Perform the safety management duties specified in the SMS; be responsible for the sanitation and disinfection work in public areas like mess room, pantry, meeting room, smoking room, saloon, lavatory and corridors in living area; be responsible for washing raw food materials, rice cooking, serving the tables, washing-up and sterilization of the cook wares and table wares. Be responsible for keeping the galley facilities and grain store and responsible to the chief cook.

    2. Be responsible for serving and washing table wares, beddings, curtains, chair-coverings, tablecloths, sanitation articles and all sorts of detergents; check and register the quantity of articles, make application report for replenishment and keep records of all articles necessary for handover.

    3. Serve the captain and pilots on the bridge with meals when captain and pilots cannot leave the bridge when sailing or entering or leaving the port.

4. Be responsible for victualling cargo-owners, pilots, joint inspectors, ship surveyors, port superintendents and visitors; be responsible for cleaning of the guest rooms and distributing consumption goods.

5. Be responsible for providing night food. Keep watch according to the relevant regulations.

    6. Properly deal with the garbage to prevent pollution of the water.

    7. Fulfill the work allocated by the chief cook and take the responsibilities in the absence of the chief cook.

    8. Take part in the overall works of the ship actively.

大厨的职责

    大厨应该:

1.履行SMS文件规定的安全职责.负责厨房、伙食、公共卫生等管理工作.制定食谱、菜单、主持配料、烹调、制作面食、糕点,并指导服务员做好厨房、公共卫生、服务等工作.按时供应船员餐膳,保证伙食质量,做到吃好、吃足.并根据船舶领导指示,做好招待客餐、引航员用餐等等.

2.负责提出主副食品、调味品、蔬菜等食品的采购计划;厨房用具、餐具的申领、补充计划,交船长审核,会同船舶领导指派的其他船员担任采购,并亲自验收、入库储存,妥善保管口粮,确保数量和质量.

3.负责管理厨房、仓库、冰箱、冷藏库及其属具和用具.保持其清洁卫生,定期进行灭虫除害,冷藏库定期除霜.把好食品质量关,做好厨房及个人卫生,防止病从口入和食物中毒;会同服务员制定食谱,经常征求船员意见.

4.负责建立厨房安全守则,制订各机动、电动工具的安全操作规程,作好各种机动、电动工具及厨具的清洁保养,经常清扫各泻水孔的隔栅,保持排水畅通.

5.负责每月盘点库存主副食品和调味品存量,会同有关人员结算和公布伙食现金收支帐目,保证帐票相符,帐目清楚.

6.负责安排22:00后值班船员的夜餐供应,护船规定轮值护船班.

7.妥善处理生活垃圾,防止污染港区水域.

8.积极参加全船各类全员性工作.

9.参加甲板部组织的有关业务学习、会议及安全活动.

Chief Cook's Responsibility

    A chief cook shall:

    1. Perform the safety management duties specified in the SMS. Be responsible for management of the galley, provisions and public sanitation; make the diets, menus and take charge of ingredient formula, cooking, wheaten food and pastry making; direct the stewards to do the work for the galley, public sanitation and service work, be responsible for victualling the crew with enough food of high quality at the regular time. According to the instructions of the ship officer, prepare meals for visitors, pilots and so on.

    2. Be responsible for the purchasing plan for staple and subsidiary food, seasons and vegetables, work out the plan for replenishment of the kitchen-wares and cook wares, submit the plans to master for approval and purchase the provision with other assigned crew, check, accept and reserve the purchased good, and take good care of the provisions to ensure the quality and quantity.

    3. Be responsible for management of the galley, stores, refrigerators, cool chambers as well as their apparels and facilities, be responsible for the sanitation work, conduct regular disinfection and refrigerator's defrosting; be responsible for food quality, public and private sanitation and prevent food poisoning, with the help of stewards, ask for comments from the crew so as to develop the menus.

    4. Be responsible for making rules for the safe operation of the galley, work out safety procedures for the electrical equipment and cook ware and keep cleaning of the above equipments and maintaining the galley facilities and clean the drainage holes.

5. Be responsible for checking inventory of staple and subsidiary food, seasons, and settle account and make the account known to the crew, keep the account and inventory in conformity with each other.

6. Be responsible for food supply for the duty officers and crew after ten at night and keep night watch according to the related regulations.

    7. Properly deal with the garbage to prevent pollution of the harbor.

    8. Take part in the overall work of the ship actively.

    9. Take part in studies, meetings and safety activities organized by the deck department.
